Games For Windows bliver gratis
Efter kritik fra mange spillere og nogle udviklere
Games For Windows Live bliver gratis i fremtiden. Det afslørede Microsoft på Gamefest 2008 i Seattle.
Tjenesten svarer til Xbox Live blot overført til PC og er i nogle tilfælde forbundet med Xbox Live, så man kan spille visse titler på kryds af PC og Xbox 360.
I første omgang var nogle dele af Games For Windos Live gratis, ligesom dele af Xbox Live, mens ekstra funktioner kostede et årligt gebyr.
Det udløste en del kritik fra spillere og nogle udviklere, der var vant til at have samme funktioner gratis i andre PC-spil online - og nu har Microsoft altså bøjet sig for presset.

Father-of-three branded a 'pervert' - for photographing his own children in public park
When Gary Crutchley started taking pictures of his children playing on an inflatable slide he thought they would be happy reminders of a family day out.
But the innocent snaps of seven-year-old Cory, and Miles, five, led to him being called a ‘pervert’.
The woman running the slide at Wolverhampton Show asked him what he was doing and other families waiting in the queue demanded that he stop.

New Radiohead Video is Shot with Lasers, Not Cameras
Radiohead, never ones to shy away from trying new things, has shot its new video for "House of Cards" without using cameras at all. Whaa? Yes, they've used two fancy new technologies called Geometric Informatics and Velodyne Lidar. To shoot it using lasers and stuff.

The Pirate Bay to sue anti-piracy agencies?
The Pirate bay, which calls itself the world’s largest bittorrent tracker, has announced its intention to file for damages against The International Federation of Phonographic Industry (IFPI) an organisation which claims to represent the interests of recording industries worldwide. The website want compensation for the traffic that was blocked by a Danish ISP after a court ruled that it had assisted copyright infringement after allowing access to the site. Hospital falsifies records of patient who died on waiting room floor
A 49-year-old woman collapsed and died on the floor of a waiting room at a Brooklyn psychiatric hospital and lay there for more than an hour as employees ignored her, according to the New York Civil Liberties Union, which on Tuesday released surveillance camera video of the incident…

The surveillance camera video shows the woman rolling off a waiting room chair, landing face-down on the floor and convulsing. Her collapse came at 5:32 a.m. June 19, the NYCLU said, and she stopped moving at 6:07 a.m. During that time, the organization said, workers at the hospital ignored her.
At 6:35 a.m., the tape shows a hospital employee approaching and nudging Green with her foot, the group said. Help was summoned three minutes later…

California to Legalize Weed for Everyone
With enough signatures, Californians could be voting to legalize marijuana in the upcoming November election. They need 694,354 signatures by September, 5, 2008. It's totally do-able. Its been over a decade since Proposition 215, the Compassionate Use Act of 1996, was passed with over 5 million votes in favor.
